The artwork depicts Vishnu as the Vishwarupa. The term Vishnu Vishwaroop refers to the cosmic or universal form of Lord Vishnu, who is considered one of the principal deities in Hinduism. In Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu is believed to be the preserver and protector of the universe. He is often depicted as having a human like form with numerous arms, holding various weapons and symbols that represent his divine attributes. The artist has depicted him in a grand and elaborate composition where Vishnu is painted in his cosmic form. The Vishnu Vishwaroop is revered and worshipped by devotees as a representation of the divine and infinite nature of Lord Vishnu.
DINESH SONI Bhilwara, Rajasthan National Award 2019
Dinesh Soni a third-generation national award-winning artist hailing from Bhilwara, Rajasthan would say the same for Pichwai- how it isn’t something that comes naturally to an artist. For years he worked as a student, an apprentice, grinding daily at the studio over small details, only after grueling years of learning the art from his grandfather, the illustrious Badrilal Chitrakar, and his father, Prabhulal, did he gain expertise. Born in 1972, Dinesh Soni has three decades of experience in both practicing and imparting the art of Pichwai for which he was awarded the National Award in 2019. As a dedicated full-time Pichwai artist, he strives to uphold the authenticity of this ancient Indian art form and extend its knowledge to the upcoming generation of artists. He is currently operating from his studio in Bhilwara.
Your handmade rug is a work of art — crafted with care and designed to last for generations. Follow these simple care tips to preserve its beauty, softness, and durability over time.
🧹 Regular Cleaning- Vacuum once a week from the day you receive your rug.
- Use a vacuum with an electric brush for deeper dust and dirt removal.
- Helps maintain the rug’s original texture and rich appearance.
- Shedding is normal in new rugs and will lessen over time.
- Clean or replace the vacuum filter/bag regularly, especially in the first few months.
- Act quickly to prevent stains from becoming permanent. For fresh spills:
- -Place a cold, damp terry towel over the stain — do not rub or dab.
- -Gently scoop up the spill with a spoon, working from the edges toward the center.
- Avoid dish soaps, bleach, or harsh detergents — they may leave residue and damage fibers.
- Use a mild liquid detergent like Ezee or a rug-safe stain remover.
- 💡 Optional Protection: Ask us about our NANO COATING treatment — it makes your rug spill & stain resistant. Speak to our rug experts to learn more.
- Do not use stiff bristles, scrubbing brushes, or blades — these can damage delicate fibers.
- Do not pull loose threads — trim them gently with scissors instead.
- For large or stubborn stains, consult a professional carpet cleaner.
- Rotate your rug every 6–12 months to ensure even wear.
- Keep it away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
- Use a rug pad to reduce slipping and protect both the rug and your floor.
